Our new name and new location…
For the past 10 years, we have been known as “Harnham Physiotherapy Clinic” with a team based in clinic and a team based out in the community doing rehabilitation. In September 2022, our clinic based team relocated as “Salisbury & South Wilts Physiotherapy” and are now based at the Salisbury & South Wilts Sports Club on the Wilton Road…
We continue to be the same one extended and diverse holistic team.
Our team of 10 with a combined 210 years of post graduate experience really is what makes us unique and we often work together to support our clients.
We have an impressive and diverse team of nine highly skilled, insured and professionally regulated Chartered Physiotherapists as well as a highly reputed Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist Hand Therapist. We offer a wide variety of evidence-based treatments to a wide range of clients in a range of settings aiming to achieve long term improvement. We are passionate about our work and we absolutely pride ourselves on our thorough approach to assessment and treatment in order to achieve both short term relief as well as long lasting results and change.
Working in clinic and in the community…
We have specialist musculoskeletal experts in clinic treating all manner of complaints; joints; backs; necks; pain; acute and chronic conditions and sports injuries. We also offer a specialist occupational therapy service for the treatment of hands, wrists and upper limb.
We are also very proud to have an extensive specialist team of community-based physiotherapists and clinicians who are experts in recovery from orthopaedic surgery, and the rehabilitation of older people and those with neurological conditions such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, or Parkinsons. We also have a physiotherapy specialist in respiratory conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and recovery from COVID19.
Our clinic strives to deliver an exceptional service and experience for our often complex clients. Our clients are treated with genuine interest and compassion. Longer than average time is scheduled for our appointments and this provides for very clear and accurate assessments that lead to highly effective treatments and excellent outcomes.
We take no short-cuts or hard and fast conveyor belt approach to turnover of clients in our working day. Here we strive for excellence and thoroughness and that needs time.
We are incredibly proud to receive regular praise and excellent feedback from patients, GP’s, care homes and consultants for the results we achieve and high quality of care.
The practices are run by Marie Roberts, Chartered Physiotherapist, who established the clinic in Salisbury in 2012. Marie has been working in physiotherapy since 2002 and previously established and ran a successful and highly regarded practice in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Arthritis Action UK approached the clinic a few years ago and Marie is the sole local ‘Approved Practitioner’ in Salisbury and the surrounding area who delivers subsidised physiotherapy assessment and treatment on behalf of the UK charity. We are very proud to work with this proactive organisation.
All of our therapists are fully qualified expertly trained insured clinicians, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The diversity within our team means that we can book you in with the best person to suit your needs.
We are very honest and caring clinicians. If we feel that we cannot help or that we are not quite right for your individual needs, we will let you know – or we might be able to recommend something else that might be more successful. If you are unsure of which therapy might help, please get in touch and we will try to identify the most effective treatment options for you.
‘Harnham Physiotherapy,’ ‘Harnham Physiotherapy Community Rehabilitation’ and ‘Salisbury & South Wilts Physiotherapy’ are all part of HARNHAM PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC LTD.
